VISHNU Sahasranama means the “Thousand Names of VISHNU ” asper Attribute (Gunas) & characteristic or Avatars and God Popular name in Sanskrit are NARAYANA or ParaBrahma, ParamAtma, Rudra or HARI OM OR SIVA or UMA.
Rig Veda: 1.156.3, which states "O ye who wish to gain realization of the supreme truth, utter the name of Vishnu at least once in the steadfast faith that it will lead you to such realization."
Lord Vishnu is the supreme deity and Creator of all the Universe and all other Gods originate from him. The 1000 different names of Lord Vishnu.
After the Kurukshetra war.. The great Bhishma Pitamaha was in arrow bed waiting for his death, and Yudhishthir approached Him, seeking mental peace… During their conversation, Bhishma asked Yudhishthir to chant Sri Vishnusahasraamam.
When Bhishma recites nobody written it , but Sahadeva have capacity of record remembering in mind SHUDHHA SPATIKAM. If he prays to Shiva and does dhyanam he can convert the SPATIKA into waves of sound and later he recited it to all to write it down said by Maha Periyaya Kanchi paramacharya. Maha Rishi Veda Vyasya also have capability of write down it as he is author of live MAHABHARATA Epic & Sanskrit epic Mahabharata could date back to 1500 -2000' BCE...............
